Disappointing lunch experience at Gwalia. Went to Gwalia today for lunch with friends, and unfortunately, the experience fell short. The yellow dal was extremely spicy and very watery, with hardly any dal in it. We ordered Kadai Veg but were served Paneer Green Curry instead, which was not what we had ordered. The service was also quite slow. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive, which is a long wait for a lunch. I understand that one visit doesn’t define a restaurant, but based on our experience today, the food, accuracy of the order, and service all need improvement. Great spot for North Indian comfort food. Bhature was perfectly crispy and fluffy, though the chole leaned more spiced than spicy. Paneer Paratha was a standout — well-stuffed and flavorful. It is a good spot for pure vegetarian Indian cuisine. I have tried different items such as Pav bhaji, Amritsari Kulcha, Paneer Lababdar, Tal Tadka, Sitafal basundi on few occasions and all were good in taste. Their menu features several other unique fusion dishes and fresh sweets. The service is good and the plaza has ample parking.
